Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

prostir zvuku works mostly locally on your devices. We do not use accounts or ads. The app does not run third-party product analytics that track your in-app behavior; the only third-party integration in the app is RevenueCat, which is used to manage one-time purchase entitlements (see Purchases below). The app can also sync selected room data between your own devices through Apple's iCloud key-value storage. This page explains what data the app, website, Apple, and our providers may process.

Who we are

prostir zvuku is an independent app for building spatial nature soundscapes on Mac and iPhone. When this policy says "we", "us", or "our", it means the developer and operator of prostir zvuku. You can contact us at [email protected].

In the app

Your presets, sound positions, timer settings, app preferences, and lifetime unlock status are stored locally on your device so the app can work properly.

The app also auto-saves the current state of your canvas (which sounds are placed, their positions and volumes) so it can reopen in the same state.

If you use prostir zvuku on multiple devices signed into the same Apple Account, the app can sync your saved rooms, the current preset, the current canvas snapshot, and the app's local user identifier through Apple's iCloud key-value storage. Device-specific settings such as onboarding state or display preferences stay local.

We do not receive this data from the app. We do not use it for analytics, sell it, or share it with advertisers.

Head tracking

Head tracking is optional and works with supported AirPods through Apple's headphone motion APIs. When enabled, the app reads headphone motion data to update the spatial audio listener orientation. That motion data stays on your device. We do not receive, store, upload, or share head movement data.

Purchases

prostir zvuku offers an optional one-time lifetime unlock through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details.

The app uses StoreKit to load product information, start purchases, restore purchases, and check whether the lifetime unlock is active. The app may keep a local cache of unlock status so it can show the correct state quickly at launch.

We also use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements and customer support. When the app launches, it generates a short random identifier (for example PZ-XXXXXX) and registers it with RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives this identifier, anonymized purchase events forwarded by Apple, and basic device metadata (platform, app version, country code). RevenueCat uses this for entitlement management, refund handling, fraud prevention, customer support lookups, and aggregated purchase analytics on their dashboard.

The identifier is shown to you in Settings → Your ID, and a copy is stored in local Keychain storage so it persists across launches. If you use the app on multiple devices with the same Apple Account, that identifier is also mirrored through iCloud key-value storage so Mac and iPhone can share the same app identity. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple Account, unless you choose to include it when you contact support.

Email

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include. We use it only to reply, provide support, or handle your request.

On the website

We do not currently collect personal information through forms on this website. Earlier versions of the site included a beta access form; if you previously submitted your email through it and would like that record removed, write to [email protected].

We do not run advertising pixels or third-party product analytics on the website. Hosting and security providers may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, request URL, and request time to deliver and protect the site.

Third-party services

We currently rely on these providers:

  • Apple for App Store distribution, In-App Purchases, and iCloud key-value sync between your own devices. Apple App Store privacy information.
  • RevenueCat for purchase entitlement management, refund handling, and customer support lookups. RevenueCat receives the anonymous PZ-XXXXXX identifier and purchase events forwarded by Apple. It does not receive your name, email, or payment details. RevenueCat privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare for website delivery and protection. Cloudflare privacy policy.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We do not use advertising SDKs in the app.
  • We do not run third-party product analytics that track your in-app behavior. The RevenueCat integration is limited to purchase and entitlement events.
  • We do not track you across apps or websites.
  • We do not collect audio recordings from your microphone.
  • We do not upload your presets, sound positions, timers, or head movement data to our own servers.

Data deletion

Most app data stays on your device until you change it, reset the app, or remove the app. You can use Settings → Reset all to clear your saved presets, the current canvas snapshot, and your app settings without uninstalling. Reset deliberately keeps your lifetime-unlock cache and your PZ-XXXXXX identifier (otherwise a paid user could briefly look unpaid after a reset until StoreKit re-syncs).

If you use iCloud sync, reset on one device does not guarantee the data is gone everywhere — another device on the same Apple Account may sync it back. To fully clear synced room data, reset it on each device signed into that Apple Account and let iCloud settle.

If you emailed us or submitted a form, you can ask us to delete that information by writing to [email protected].

Your rights under GDPR and CCPA

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have specific rights under applicable privacy laws (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA). Because prostir zvuku is designed to keep almost everything on your devices — and the only identifier we share with a third party (RevenueCat) is the random PZ-XXXXXX string generated locally — exercising these rights is straightforward.

Right to access. You can see what data exists about you at any time:

  • Local data: open Settings → Your ID in the app to view your PZ-XXXXXX. Everything else (presets, sound positions, timer settings, preferences) lives in standard app storage on your device and may sync through iCloud between devices on the same Apple Account.
  • RevenueCat-side data: email [email protected] with your PZ-XXXXXX. We will request the records RevenueCat holds about that ID and forward them to you.

Right to rectification. We do not collect names, emails, or any other personal details, so there is rarely anything to correct. If you notice something inaccurate in the data we forward from RevenueCat, email us and we will work with them to fix it.

Right to erasure.

  • To clear local data without uninstalling: Settings → Reset all in the app. Wipes your saved presets, the current canvas snapshot, and your settings on that device. Keeps your lifetime-unlock cache and your PZ-XXXXXX identifier.
  • If you use iCloud sync, repeat the reset on each device signed into the same Apple Account so the data does not sync back.
  • To remove the app: uninstall through Finder or delete it from your iPhone. Note that macOS keeps the sandboxed app container at ~/Library/Containers/yevhen.prostir-zvuku/ until removed manually, and the PZ-XXXXXX identifier is held in Data Protection Keychain — on uninstall the entry remains in the system keychain database but becomes unreadable (no app holds the entitlement to read it). For complete physical removal of the Keychain entry, use Keychain Access.app.
  • To delete the RevenueCat-side record: email [email protected] with your PZ-XXXXXX, and we will request its deletion. Note that App Store purchase records are kept by Apple under their own retention policy — only Apple can delete those.

Right to data portability. Local data is stored in standard app formats and is yours to copy or migrate. For RevenueCat-side data, email us and we will provide your records in JSON.

Right to restrict or object to processing. Uninstall the app. There is no other mechanism by which we share data.

California-specific (CCPA).

  • Right to know — described above and throughout this policy.
  • Right to delete — described above.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information for advertising or marketing purposes. There is nothing to opt out of.
  • Right to non-discrimination — exercising any of these rights does not affect your access to the app or any of its features.

How to exercise these rights. Email [email protected] from any address. Include your PZ-XXXXXX where applicable. We respond within 30 days (GDPR / UK GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA).

Children

prostir zvuku is not directed to children. If you believe a child sent us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, website, providers, or legal requirements change. The "last updated" date shows when this policy was last revised.
